1864 Presidential Election

In 1864, Abraham Lincoln, a republican, ran against democrat, George B. McClellan for presidency. Abraham Lincoln's home state was Illinois. McClellan was from New Jersey. Most Northern States were for Lincoln and Most Southern States were for McClellan. Lincoln's running mate was Andrew Johnson and McClellan's running mate was George Hunt Pendleton. In the end, Abraham Lincoln was reelected as President of the United States.
