There are no living civil war veterans. The few living after the four year battle told stories about the haunting memories of the dead bodies. Most of the men who were survivors were amputees. The last known surviving civil war veteran was a man who was named Walter Williams, he claimed to be 117. There is little chance that he was of legal age to go into the war, or he might have lied what age he really was.909296_b.jpgexternal image c.gif ----
